Hello! I am looking for work as a Nanny. I have significant experience with children having been a Teacher for five years. I have also been a Boarding Houseparent. I am eldest of four children and grew up babysitting. By nature I am a problem solver. My aim would be to fit your family's needs. My duties can span domestic work, cooking, driving and academic support. Most importantly, having worked in Children's Theatre, I would describe myself and energetic, positive and fun. Responsible for Primary, Middle and Secondary Drama Curriculum. Extra-curricular duties included directing the School Musical and running the Debating Society.
Folksinger, Freelance 2023-Present.
As a folksinger I create my own work and rework ancient Celtic folk songs. I work under the name Detta Kenzie.
2023 highlights include performing twice on the Mainstage at Wimborne Folk Festival, HowTheLightGetsIn festivals in Hay-on-Wye, Wales and then again at Kenwood House in London.
I have performed at Cornwall Folk Festival, Oxford Folk Festival, Teign Shanty Festival and "An Evening of Folk Songs" at Bristol Folk House. Opened for Martin Simpson at Topsham Folk Club and The Flavel Arts Centre in Dartmouth.
Some notable future bookings include: a stage slot at Sidmouth Folk Festival; a Mainstage slot at Downend Folk and Roots Festival (Opening for Kitty Macfarlane); Ant Miles from Fancourt Music Agency has invited me to be part of The Rising Folk Series at St George's Cathedral in Bristol.
I have a series of singles on Spotify and other streaming platforms, and am currently working with well-known guitarist and producer Gaz Chatterton to release a high-quality production EP.

Performing Arts become an instrument for inquiry, a developmental tool and a way of communicating discoveries and celebrating learning.
