About Me
I am a recent graduate, obtaining a degree in psychology, from the University of Bath.
My previous job role as a gymnastics instructor was at The Little Gym in Bath, where I worked with children of 4 months to 6 years old. Here, we worked on developing their physical, social and emotional skills through active play and an ever-growing curriculum.
Currently, I work in the education sector as a teaching assistant with neurotypical and children with SEND needs. I largely specialise in early years, but I have worked with children up to 16 years old.
I come from a big family where I have cared for all three of my brothers and their ranging needs.
I am bubbly, thoroughly enjoy reading, and have a passion for cooking and baking.
My Experience
My previous role was at The Little Gym in Bath, where I was a gymnastics instructor to babies and children. Here, I taught both physical and mental skills, advancing the children’s development generally.
My current role is that of a teaching assistant in a primary school, working with children aged four to eleven. I assist with their learning, providing guidance in all subjects, and help the children with personal upkeep and any toileting that is required.
In my previous school, I worked with children with special educational needs, providing all-round care and any medicinal requirements. This job has taught me to understand that every child is different, and to become more patient as every child is on a different journey.
Alongside my degree, I work as an online tutor for MyTutor, providing tuition for children aged six to eighteen. I plan sessions according to the specific requirements of each student, and always aim to help my students feel heard and seen as many struggled in school. I have learnt many new skills with organisation and improved my abilities with ICT.
During the seasonal breaks, I have previously worked as a camp leader for the HAF camp. This camp provided children who are on pupil premium with the opportunity to have food and educational entertainment during their breaks from school. As camp leader, I designed fun, interactive sessions for all the children and maintained the safe handling of food and personal care for the children and young adults that attended.
My Qualifications
I am paediatric first aid trained, which I have completed within the past year.
I have completed all safeguarding training that has been required to work with children for my current job within the past three months.
I have had an enhanced DBS check completed within the past six months that is on the update service.
I am a recent graduate from the University of Bath, having completed a BSc Psychology (Hons) degree, and obtained a 2:1.
My Availability
As I am hoping to become a part time nanny, I would have availability throughout the week. Seasonal breaks would require further discussion with the family.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)
