About Me
My name is Sofia, I am Spanish, from Barcelona. I am 28 years old and I have been living in London since January 2020 working as an aupair. The reason that I am still aupair is because I am finishing my studies and this job allowed me study and working while I practice English and also because I really like the job, children are very fun. I am lawyer and I am studying a master in international law and also I have to do some exams to work in the EU since February to May approximately, but I am not sure about the dates.
I am a healthy person, I try to eat as healthy as possible, I don't smoke and I do exercise often.
My Experience
About my experience with kids. In my first family I looked after three girls in north London. They were 8, 5 and 2 years old. The family was really kind and nice, I spend with them the first lock down and the parents are doctors so that year was a bit difficult but it was a great experience anyway. After 11 months I came back home cause of the second lock down and my mum had a breast cancer as well.
Then, I started the master and I came back to London in the middle of the year 2022 with a family in Balham where I cared a girl 9 years old and a boy 11 years old but I changed the family in December cause I was not really OK with them, the kids were very good but I didn't like the parents too much then I preferred to be comfortable.
I found my last family in December and I started in January with them, it was a great experience with a boy who is almost 6 years old and a girl who is 3 years old in Fulham.
I leave them for study reasons because I had my exams in October (they delayed the exams dates) and I was a bit stressed about the time but they change my exams dates then now I'm regretting about my decision because I have above all my friends and my boyfriend in London and I miss it a lot and I want to come back there but this family have another nanny yet then I am looking for another family now.
I also have presettlement status, high level of English, I know the city what is easier for me to adapt to the family and I really love kids.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in law and also a master in international law, I am still studying. My qualifications with kids are based in my experience with them and some courses to work in camps.
My Availability
Part time and live in maximum 30 hours per week.
