Aileen
Babysitter in Wirral
My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m Aileen. I’m originally from central Scotland but now based in West Kirby. I’m going into my fourth year studying music performance at the Royal Northern College of Music.
I am looking for babysitting work alongside my studies, and I bring a broad range of childcare experience. I have worked with children in everyday family environments, structured teaching roles, hospital-based music projects and SEN music settings, which has given me a thoughtful and adaptable approach to working with children.
I understand that choosing someone to care for your child is a big decision. I take that responsibility seriously and I am always happy to meet families beforehand, discuss routines and make sure everyone feels comfortable.
My Experience
I previously worked for two families with young children aged 20 months and 3 years, which has given me direct experience caring for toddlers and supporting family routines in a home environment. I understand the importance of consistency particularly with younger children who are still building confidence away from their parents.
A significant part of my experience has come through music. As part of my freelance work, I have worked with children and families in hospital settings through music in healthcare projects.
I also have experience working with children with additional needs through music, including children who communicate differently or need a more flexible, patient approach. This is an area I care about deeply. My younger brother is autistic, so I have also grown up with a personal understanding of neurodiversity, routine and the importance of adapting to the individual child.
Alongside this, my background as a lifeguard and swim teacher has given me strong experience working with children in a responsible, safety-focused environment. It has also developed my confidence in managing different personalities, supporting nervous children and communicating clearly with both children and parents.
I am DBS checked and can provide references for previous work on request.
My Qualifications
I am currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree in music performance at the Royal Northern College of Music, specialising in bass trombone. Through my degree, I have developed experience in performance, education, community music and music in healthcare settings.
I also hold SQA Scottish Higher qualifications in English, Maths, French, History, Geography, Politics, Biology, Drama and Music.
I have had a full UK driving licence for 4 years.
My Availability
My course involves a significant amount of independent learning this year, which means I have some flexibility around my timetable. I would be very happy to discuss your family’s schedule and see what days or times would work best.
