Rebecca
✨ Warm, reliable nanny wanted – Hinton Ampner, near Alresford ✨
About Me
Hello! My name is Rebecca and I am a 45 year old mum of 3 who has been crazy enough to return to university to retrain as a midwife and I start my new job in October. My eldest 2 children are more independent now (18 and 16), but my youngest (Teddy) is 9 and it is for him that I am looking for childcare. We live with our cat, Bear!
My Requirements
I’m looking for a wonderful nanny to become part of our family as I begin my role as a newly qualified NHS midwife in October. Ideally, I’d love to find the right person sooner so that we have plenty of time to get to know each other before I start.
The role is primarily caring for my fantastic 9-year-old son. I also have two older children, aged 16 and 18, but they are very independent and do not require childcare.
The position offers:
-Approximately 35 guaranteed hours per week
-My rota provided 6 weeks in advance
-Usually 2 long day shifts from approximately 7:30am–8:30pm and 1 night shift from 8pm–8am each week
-A mixture of weekday and occasional weekend shifts, with weekend days kept to a minimum where possible
During term time, the role would involve school drop-off and pick-up. During the school day, after completing a few agreed light housekeeping tasks and preparing a simple family meal, the time would largely be your own, while remaining available if needed. During school holidays, the role would involve full-day care or taking him to a holiday club/activity.
Ideally, I’d love someone who could stay overnight during my night shifts and take my son to school the following morning. If the night falls during a weekend or school holiday, I may need a few additional hours of care while I catch up on sleep. However, I’m happy to discuss alternative arrangements for the right person.
Someone who is happy to help with light housekeeping, laundry and simple family cooking would be wonderful.
Experience supporting neurodivergent children would be a huge advantage, and Ofsted registration, or willingness to register, would be preferred. Driving licence definitely needed.
I’m happy to consider both employed and genuinely self-employed applicants, depending on the circumstances and arrangement.
We live in a beautiful cottage on the National Trust estate at Hinton Ampner, near Alresford, with wonderful countryside on our doorstep. As a little perk, you would also be welcome to use our National Trust pass to explore National Trust properties for free.
More than anything, I’m looking for someone kind, dependable, patient, fun and nurturing who will become an important part of our family.
If this sounds like it could be a good fit, or you know someone amazing, please send me a message. ?
