About Me
Hi,
I’m a single mum to two wonderful, “well-behaved” boys who are currently in primary school.
I work as a police officer, which means my career keeps me busy, but my operational shift pattern is highly structured and planned months in advance.
As a family, we love keeping a calm and organised routine. The boys thrive on their regular bedtime routine and are great sleepers.
Because of my operational shift pattern, I am looking to build a long-term relationship with a trusted childminder, night nanny or babysitter who can provide a safe and stable environment at home while I work my night duties.
I highly value honesty, clear communication and reliability, and in return, I am a very respectful, organised and supportive person to work for.
My Requirements
Hi there,
I am a single mum looking for a reliable flexible overnight nanny to help care for my two boys, aged 6 and 8.
I work as a police officer on a fixed 10-week rolling shift pattern, which include regular night shifts (Monday-Thursday 23:00-07:00 and some Saturdays 23:00-05:00).
I am looking for a long term arrangement starting from Monday, the 21st of September. (Week 7)
Because of my job, my childcare needs change depending on the week, but they are completely predictable. I can provide you with the exact dates and hours for the entire year in advance so you can plan your bookings accordingly.
Here is the breakdown of the nights I require care for each week of the 10-week pattern:
Week 1: 2 nights (Wednesday and Thursday)
Week 2: 1 night (Saturday)
Week 3: 0 nights (no care needed)
Week 4: 2 nights (Tuesday and Wednesday)
Week 5: 0 nights (no care needed)
Week 6: 1 night (Saturday)
Week 7: 2 nights (Monday and Tuesday)
Week 8: 1 night (Thursday)
Week 9: 1 night (Saturday)
Week 10: 0 nights (no care needed)
What I’m looking for:
- A trusted Ofsed registered professional who is comfortable with overnight care.
- Someone with a valid DBS check and First Aid training.
- A calm, warm individual to stay at the house while I’m on duty. The boys already have a fixed bed time routine and they will be already asleep in bed by the time I leave home for my shift.
- Someone who can help get them ready for school in the morning just in case I’ll be running late (though being late rarely happens).
Thank you!
