About Me
I’m an outgoing and bubbly person who is passionate about childcare. I’m very patient and have a good understanding of child development. I specialise in behaviour management and have work closely with nurseries and parents to tackle challenging behaviours. I’m currently a deputy manager at a nursery and also room lead a preschool room. I enjoy nannying/ babysitting as it is more of a free flow way of childcare. I love to take the children for outings in the local community and being able to give them the chance to learn and enjoy new experiences.
My Experience
I have experience with all ages from newborns when supporting new mothers to 8 year olds when dealing with behavioural management. I first started off from a younger age babysitting for family members and neighbours to then being able to build a clientele of families I would babysit. I then took it further and started working in a nursery to build up on my skills and learn new knowledge. This is where I gained lots of experience with different ages and still use these skills and techniques today. I started of as practitioner in baby room then become a room leader of the toddler room where I was responsible of 25 toddlers and 5 members of staff. This is where I started to learn the bases of management in childcare. I am now a room based deputy manager in a preschool where some days I take on manger rolls of running the whole nursery.
My Qualifications
I have a level 2 childcare qualification and have behaviour management qualification and also have a level 5 safeguarding certificate
Im currently now doing a SENCO course and will soon be a qualified SENCO.
I am first aid trained and I’m on the DBS update service.
My Availability
I’m currently working in a nursery in Southend during the week so I’m mostly available Saturdays or Sundays and late evenings during the week, if local.
