About Me
I'm Kyltie, I'm an Ofsted registered childminder. I live in Edenbridge with my daughter, 7, my son,3 and our cat. I am a fun, patient and caring person.
I offer a home from home childcare setting. We live in a quiet cul de sac, 2 minutes from our development's park and overlook a nature reserve area. I enjoy taking the children outside, not only in the garden but also in the local community. I am an annual pass member for Hever castle grounds and often visit play groups, the library and children's centre.
The children enjoy home cooked meals with a varied diet. The children also enjoy growing vegetables in the garden and of course getting to eat them!
We enjoy singing with children and generally making noise with whatever we can make into a musical instrument! My daughter loves arts and crafts so we are always making something creative too.
It's very important to me that children have the best start in life during their early years, and that they have fun whilst learning too.
I closely follow the EYFS to ensure children are developing whilst learning and provide regular feedback on this to parents.
My Experience
I became an Ofsted registered childminder in 2023. I have 7 years of caring for my own daughter and now my son too, as well as children of friends and family. I thoroughly enjoy watching children learn and develop, it's incredibly rewarding. I also strive to improve my knowledge continuously by enrolling on further childcare courses available to me. We have between 6 to 9 children in the setting whilst open.
I work alongside a childminding assistants, Sian and Laura. Sian has approximately 10 years childcare experience in various settings. Sian is also a mum of 2, a 7 year old boy and 2 year old girl. Sian has a DBS and paediatric first aid as well as a lengthy list of childcare qualifications.
Laura also has a 7 year old girl and a 1 year old girl. She has approximately 6 years of childcare experience across nurseries and childminders. Laura also holds a level 3 in childcare as well as DBS and paediatric first aid.
