I am a fully registered Childminder with Ofsted

My goal at Mini Maples is to provide your child with a warm, welcoming home away from home environment that is paired with an exterior discovery lodge also known as the “yes” zone where children can take lead in their interests and decide how they want to learn from role play to messy play and beyond! While focusing on your child’s development through the EYFS to enable them to thrive in becoming who they want to be, I will be aiming to provide them with the knowledge and tools to tackle whatever scenarios life throws their way.

We use the car for trips out and it is also great that Mini Maples is located near two large parks and a comfortable walking distance from the sea and tram/bus routes for transport adventures! This opens up many opportunities for outings into the community.

A typical day is filled with many learning through play and discovery opportunities with a base routine for meals.

08:45-breakfast ends
11:30-hot lunch
14:00-healthy snack
16:00-light tea

A benefit of choosing my setting is parents have access to the famly app where they can see highlights throughout their child’s day and be updated with daily care routines. (Nappies, meals, etc.)

Lanna is an amazing Key worker and R bonded with her straight away when starting at Nursery.

He always came home talking about Lanna and explaining how much he had learnt that day! I was apprehensive about sending R to nursery at 15 months old as he had never been away from me. However I couldn’t have asked for a more caring Keyworker for R -Lanna immediately put my mind at ease so I could return to work after Maternity Leave.

It was also special to see Lanna with R and the other children at the Nursery’s Christmas nativity and as always R did not leave her side! Lanna is a credit to the nursery and any children who Lanna looks after are very lucky to have her

R’s development progressed very quickly when Lanna was his keyworker also. It was clear to see at the parent’s evening how passionate Lanna was about her profession and she will make a perfect childminder - She was born to do it! A modern day Mary Poppins -Sarah

Allanna was my son's (2 years, 3 months) key worker at his nursery. He started at the nursery when he was 9 months old with Lanna being his key worker from then.

She is one of his favourite people. "Lanna" was one of his first words. Lanna made the transition to nursery easy, she provided detailed updates at collection and was as excited as we were when J reached milestones. As working parents, I find this so helpful as we don’t have lots of time during the week with J and knowing that J was well looked after by someone who cared for him was very reassuring.

She goes above and beyond and regularly sends us updates and photos so we can see how J is doing. I would highly recommend Allanna to anyone looking for someone to care for their child. - Shelley
