My Summary
Newborn Troubleshooting Specialist | Feeding, Sleep & Settling Support Consultations
About Me
Calm, highly experienced newborn troubleshooting support for parents who want practical help quickly with feeding, settling, sleep, bottle refusal, routines, colic, reflux and the general overwhelm of the early newborn stage.
I’m Lucia, a mum of two based in London, and I have been professionally supporting parents and caring for newborns since 1996.
I am a qualified Nursery Nurse with NVQ Level 3 childcare qualifications, a Holistic Postnatal Newborn Care Specialist, Parent Educator, and internationally certified Infant and Toddler Sleep Consultant, with over 30 years of extensive experience working with newborns, young babies, premature babies, and twins or multiples.
My specialist area is newborn troubleshooting support for new and expectant parents. I help families quickly and calmly with the issues that can make the early days and weeks feel overwhelming, including feeding difficulties, breastfeeding support, bottle refusal, mixed feeding, unsettled behaviour, colic, reflux, day and night confusion, sleep and settling, routines, and general early parenting overwhelm.
Parents often come to me when they feel overwhelmed, confused or stuck and want someone highly experienced to quickly understand what is happening and help them feel calm and confident again. I do not just offer reassurance. I identify the issue, explain what is normal, and give practical guidance that parents can start using straight away. Many families tell me that my support was one of the best investments they made in the newborn stage because it made life feel calmer, more manageable and far less overwhelming.
I am especially passionate about helping parents in the first days and weeks after coming home from hospital, when experienced support can make the biggest difference. I also have extensive experience supporting twin families and helping them create a calmer, more manageable rhythm from the very beginning.
My approach is warm, practical, non-judgemental, and tailored to each family’s individual needs. Alongside my specialist consultation work, I also offer limited in-home postnatal newborn support by prior arrangement.

Alongside my professional experience, my own experience of motherhood has given me a very real understanding of how exhausting, isolating and overwhelming the early weeks with a baby can sometimes feel. This is one of the reasons I care so deeply about helping parents feel supported, reassured and never alone.
My approach is warm, practical, non-judgemental, and tailored to each family’s individual needs. Alongside my specialist consultation work, I also offer limited in-home postnatal newborn support by prior arrangement.
My Qualifications
I studied full time from 1992 to 1996 and gained my NNEB National Diploma in Child Studies and Nursery Nursing together with NVQ Level 3 Nursery Teacher Training.
Alongside my core childcare and nursery nursing qualifications, I have completed further training in areas that allow me to support families in a practical and holistic way, including breastfeeding, infant feeding, bottle feeding, combination feeding, tongue and lip ties, weaning and starting solids including baby-led weaning, nutrition and sleep, allergies and sleep, infant allergies, colic, reflux, and postnatal emotional wellbeing.
My professional qualifications and credentials include my NNEB National Diploma in Child Studies and Nursery Nursing, NVQ Level 3 Nursery Teacher Training, Holistic International Infant and Toddler Sleep Consultant Certification, Paediatric First Aid Training, an Enhanced DBS Check, Public Liability Insurance, Level 2 in Educational and Child Psychology, Executive Membership of the IICT, and Membership of the IACSC.
These qualifications, together with more than 30 years of continuously ongoing hands-on experience, allow me to offer calm, knowledgeable, highly practical and truly valuable support to parents during one of the most important and vulnerable stages of family life.
