Amazing Childminder - highly recommend!

Gemma has been an absolutely wonderful childminder for my daughter Samaira. She was recommended to us by a friend, and I am so glad to have found her. My older daughter went to another childminder, and I have seen so many older settings, but by far, this was the best I could have found for Samaira.
Gemma has been very supportive through a very difficult phase of our family lives, available at short notice and always offering help where she could, and that means the world to me! Samaira was only 1 when she started, very shy, introvert, couldn't live without mummy, but she very very quickly settled at Gemma's. Gemma's warmth, love, care for the children attracts them to her.

She is always out and about, which I really liked, as my daughter could experience new places - playgrounds, playgroups, soft plays, farms... Gemma always treated Samaira as her own, from personalised bottles, flannel, name card to a personalised leaving gift and note, she always made our daughter feel so loved.
With Gemma, I always knew my daughter was in safe hands, and that was very important for me.
Gemma does embed principles, manners, good habits in her mindees as well, which is rare and very valuable for my daughter.

I can't thank you enough Gemma for being the best childminder for my daughter in her early years where she was absorbing so much around her, she has learnt wonderful things from you, THANK YOU! Wish I found you earlier for my older daughter too.

Simply the BEST!

Gemma has been an incredible childminder for our son, Otto. From the very beginning, she created a warm, home environment where he has felt completely safe and settled. She is caring, professional, and endlessly supportive, always going above and beyond for the children in her care. Otto has learned so much during his time with her and genuinely loves every day he spends there. Gemma is fantastic at reinforcing the behaviours and values we want for him, providing consistency and encouragement. She also takes him to wonderful playgrounds, playgroups, and a variety of engaging, age-appropriate activities. If we could keep Otto with her until university, we absolutely would—she and her family truly feel like part of ours.

Truly Exceptional– Highly Recommend

From the moment we met Gemma, I knew my little boy would be in safe, nurturing, and truly loving hands.

Gemma has been with our family since my son was just 1.5 years old. Now, close to 4 years old, he is a confident, kind, curious little boy—and so much of that is thanks to the amazing care, attention, and support Gemma has given him over the years.

She has created such a warm and welcoming environment, full of creativity, play, learning, and structure. Every day, my son has come home happy, often with stories about fun activities, new songs, crafts, outdoor adventures, and friendships he’s built under her care. I’ve always felt completely at ease knowing he was not only safe, but also genuinely happy and thriving.

Gemma goes above and beyond in every way. She communicates so clearly and consistently, is wonderfully organized, and has been an incredible support to me as a parent—offering helpful advice, kind reassurance, and flexibility when I needed it most.

We feel so lucky to have had Gemma in our lives during these precious early years. I truly can’t recommend her enough to any parent looking for a childminder who brings not just professionalism, but heart and soul to everything she does.

Excellent

Gemma is a very understanding and empathetic individual who took care of my three year old son from the age of one.
Gemma helped to toilet train him and gave him a homely environment in which he felt loved and cared for.
Gemma was like an older sister to me and as a young mum myself I was able to confide in her about anything my son was struggling with.

Excellent childminder

Gemma is an excellent childminder. When I first met Gemma, I loved the fact that she is very relaxed, flexible
and works with a small group of children.

My son has been going to Gemma since he was 17 month old and I felt Gemma’s house was the perfect setting for him to grow and develop.

My son is nearly 3 year old now and he still looks forward to going to Gemma’s house every single day. He loves her homely setting and all the activities he does with her. He even wants to go to Gemma on weekends which tells me he’s really happy and been looked after there.

Gemma is very reliable and has been the perfect choice for our family.

I would highly recommend Gemma to anyone looking for a great childminder.

Fantastic and welcoming childminder.

Gemma is an excellent childminder who has made our son feel happy and safe from the first day. He looks forward to seeing her and I have always felt confident he is in safe hands.

Gemma is reliable, flexible and has great communication which has been really important for us as a family.

Gemma’s family home is the perfect setting as a home away from home. She always tries to include my son’s favourite toys and encourages him to try new activities too.

I have been very happy with her service.

Fantastic and engaging childminder

Gemma is a lovely childminder. Her calming nature ensures that our daughter Ava (aged 2) feels at home and safe. Gemma always looks at new ways of engaging Ava and she uses artistic and imaginative activities which keep her interested. Gemma connects well with nature and Ava learns through this medium with games and art with child lead play. Gemma keeps Ava interested with games that are fun and educational and she provides a real home from home setting. 5 stars!

Excellent Childminder

Gemma looked after our daughter from the age of 6 months. From day one she made us feel at ease and accommodated a flexible approach for our childcare needs. Our daughter was always excited to go to Gemma and I loved the fact it was a home from home atmosphere. Gemma will always be our first go to person if we need childcare again in the future.

Our daughter's "other Mother"

Our eldest daughter was with Gemma from aged 2 and a half to 5 years of age. Gemma is incredibly flexible, reliable and above all very caring. Our daughter became immersed in Gemma's family and I don't believe she ever felt she was in a childcare environment, rather one of the family. She adores Gemma's children and learnt a huge amount from playing with children older and younger than herself. From our perspective as parents it was "easy", we knew our daughter was collected on time from nursery initially and then school, we knew she was eating properly and we knew that she was safe. Gemma encouraged learning in line with EYFS but would never be stuck at home: excursions included the wetlands centre, swimming and even the cable car in East London. Gemma was always flexible with timing and days wherever she could be and even looked after our daughter during her own family party when we were stuck. Our only disappointment is that Gemma is now too far away to look after our other daughter.

Warm and loving family environment

My daughter was with Gemma from the age of 9 months until age 5 and was treated like one of the family. Her older brother joined her after school for the last couple of years and also enjoyed his time with Gemma. She caters for all ages and provides nutritious food and outdoor activities and excursions. As a busy working mum, it was amazing to always be able to rely on Gemma who was considerate, helpful and an excellent communicator. Highly recommended.
