About Me
I am a qualified and experienced private tutor with a DBS check, who works skilfully with children of all academic abilities. I specialise in 11 plus English comprehension, poetry, SPaG, cloze and creative writing. I believe in engaging students and making learning fun, so they can achieve their exam goals successfully while enjoying the preparation. My individually tailored methods of teaching have so far yielded excellent track records and very high pass rate.
My Experience
With over 5 years of teaching experience, I have successfully tutored an impressive number of children in year 4 and year 5 of Primary School. I have taught CEM and GL exam boards for Grammar Schools as well as Independent Schools. Complete course material is provided including in-house material, worksheets and mock exams. I provide full support and attention with feedback throughout the course.
My Qualifications
I have graduated in English Literature and have Masters Degree in History.
My Availability
One to one (or mini group sessions available upon request). Limited number of students taught each year.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £25.00 per hour
Affordable fee charged for attended sessions. Occasional unattended sessions will not be charged with valid 24 hr notice. Course material provided is included in the fee.

Aliya is a fantastic tutor. She has an excellent understanding of the grammar school system and has been helpful in developing knowledge, speed and accuracy.

Everything is perfect my child can understand with Aliya’s explanations and now has a high chance of passing the 11+! Aliya is fun and teaches in a way which would intrigue you into learning more. My child still wants to go to Aliya to learn more.

Outstanding tutor! My son took 11plus English classes from Aliya. She started off with an assessment and developed a tailored learning journey including guidance on exams. Efficient feedback and communication with parents to know my son's level and areas where improvement was needed We could not have done without her. Absolutely recommend her.
