My Summary
About Me
Hi, I'm a very compassionate and driven student midwife who is currently taking a year off from my degree to spend some time with my family in Chessington.
I am passionate about the importance of balanced meals for a child's cognitive and physical health, and will always encourage children in taking control over their food choices - this could be by involving them in recipe making and learning about healthy eating.
Creative sessions are also a staple for mental development and as a budding painter myself I will always motivate children to express their ideas in the form of painting, completing puzzles, singing, creative writing, listening to/ playing music and reading together!
I played the piano for many years before university and participated in my school choir, so music as a creative outlet will always be an option - I can teach your children how to read sheet music, write songs and play the piano.
I understand the importance of reading in young children - reading together will be a common activity whenever possible throughout the day.
My Experience
As the oldest sibling of 3, I took up the responsibility of caring for my much younger sibling where my roles included helping with homework, cooking fresh and balanced meals, reading and doing enriching outdoor activities to ensure health and hygiene needs were met for my sibling.
Caring for my sibling occurs frequently during the week and often in the evening the wind-down before bed or during the morning to late afternoon.
As a student midwife, I have spent hundreds of hours caring for newborns, and am confident in newborn and paediatric life support.
My Qualifications
I completed my GCSE and A-Level education at The Tiffin Girls' School, and am currently studying at the University of Southampton.
I am trained in Basic Life Support for adults, children and babies and previously volunteered with the St John Ambulance.
My Availability
I am available ASAP throughout the week at most hours however am not open to caring for children overnight.
Ideally I would like to work 20-30 hours per week so please reach out if this is something you require!
