Hi, I’m Rose!
I have a genuine passion for working with children and helping them feel happy, safe, and supported. I currently work in a children’s residential home, where I care for and support young people with a range of individual needs. Before this, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for 8 years, giving me valuable experience supporting children of different ages and abilities in an educational setting.
As a parent of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), I have personal as well as professional experience supporting children and adults with additional needs. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, empathy, and creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
I love working with children because every day is different, and it’s incredibly rewarding to help them learn, grow, and build confidence. Whether it’s playing games, helping with homework, reading stories, or simply providing a caring and reliable presence, I always aim to make children feel comfortable and valued.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my three friendly Labradors, who certainly keep me active!

* Special Educational Needs (SEN): I have both personal and professional experience supporting children and adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a parent of children with SEN, I understand the importance of patience, understanding, and adapting care to meet each child’s individual needs.
* Qualified & Trusted: I am First Aid trained, hold a full UK driving licence, and have an enhanced DBS check through my current role, giving parents added peace of mind.
* Childcare Skills: I have experience supporting daily routines, preparing meals, helping with homework, planning engaging activities, and creating a fun, safe, and caring environment where children can thrive.
* Passionate About Childcare: I genuinely love working with children and find it incredibly rewarding to help them build confidence, learn new skills, and feel happy and secure in my care

My Availability
Due to my job I work a 3 week rolling rota, different days on different weeks.
