About Me
I’ve grown up in a small village in Oxfordshire with my family, my Mum, Dad and younger brother and sister. We are extremely close as a family and love spending time with each other. For fun we enjoy cooking together, long walks in exciting new places, listening to music, and a lovely Sunday roast!
Since I left school I have been working in nursery’s and obtained my level 2 qualification in childcare along with many other certifications. In my opinion childcare is the most rewarding jobs because we honestly make such a difference in those children’s lives. I would say my strong point is having a calm reasonable approach with children that have challenging behaviour. I also have lots of fun activities I can share with children and parents.
I have just moved back home from spending a year in London, I’m currently working in Starbucks for the time being until I find something more suited to me in childcare and I can’t wait!
My Experience
I worked 40-45 hours a week at all the nursery’s I’ve worked at. I was worked with preschool age and toddler age mainly but have had a lot of experience working with baby’s. My duty’s would include; greeting each child and parents individually remembering key points from the hand overs, assisting with toileting/nappies, serving food safety to all children including children with allergies, supporting each children’s learning through play (adapted to each individual), setting goals and next steps that I think each child would benefit from, writing detailed observations about each child’s achievements, safeguarding, and most importantly being their friend.
My Qualifications
I completed an apprenticeship (Level 2 in early years) I also have safeguarding and diabetic training and qualifications.
My Availability
At the moment I’m working morning at a coffee shop, I want to be a full time nanny but need to find the right family before I go full time.
Afternoons and evenings suit me.
