About Me
I am an active listener and a lover of books so I am very into the likes of harry potter and Percy Jackson aswell as enjoying things like Star wars and marvel comics due to this I can usually find common interests in the children I work with so they don't get bored. If this isn't the case I am also more than willing to sit and listen to what they enjoy doing. In addition to this I love to keep the children occupied weather this be with games or creative activities such as drawing or painting.
My Experience
I have worked with primary schools for the past 2 years as a special needs TA, before and after school helper and a training teacher. Before this I was also working within youth clubs from ages 7-16 in the evening's as well as nursery in the morning due to this I have a range of experience within different age ranges. Furthermore, from working within youth clubs I have developed the knowledge of a wide range of games and activities to use on limited resources to keep children entertained as well as being able to help older children with homework questions as I am currently teaching myself.
My Qualifications
I am first aid trained, DBs checked, have completed all safeguarding and a level 1 in makaton. I am currently completing my PGCE - teaching qualification, but I have worked as a level 3 TA prior to starting this course.
My Availability
Due to working in schools I am only available from 5pm during the week but majority of the time on weekends. But from 3pm during the summer holidays Monday - Thursday
