Hi, I'm Olivia! I am a university student who is currently switching course to Psychology, with an end goal of becoming either a teacher or a child psychologist. I have had a passion for working with children from a young age as I spent many hours in a nursery helping take care of children aged 0-4. I am a patient and caring individual who enjoys taking on nurturing roles; I enjoy exploring nature, doing crafts, cooking/baking and playing sports with children of all ages. I look forward to providing a helping hand to any families that might need me.
My Experience
I have 2 years volunteer experience as a gymnastics coach, working with children aged 3-12 to help them develop their skills and love for the sport. Within my role, I was required to maintain safety protocols for groups of children, ensuring children were properly monitored and taken care of. This improved my attentiveness and made me more resilient, as well as improving my ability to create bonds with the children. Additionally, I was a waitress/ kitchen assistant for 2 years. This involved interacting with customers to maintain a friendly and welcoming environment, as well as refining my food safety knowledge. I prepared and cooked meals for patrons, receiving many compliments. I am able to provide references for both these roles if required!
My Qualifications
I have received CPR training as well as basic first aid training through the silver D of E award. I have both an enhanced and basic DBS check, which I can provide if necessary. I completed my GCSE's (grades 7-9 achieved in all subjects) as well as A-levels in History, Psychology and Economics. In addition to this, I achieved an A* grade in an extended project qualification; it was written on child developmental psychology and the way in which children process right and wrong. I also have a grade A level 3 CeFS finance qualification.
My Availability
I am available any day of the week at as much as a days notice. I am willing to travel to any families within the Boston/Horncastle area.
