My Summary

My Experience

I am a second year paediatric nursing student at Northumbria University. Due to my various placements over the past year and a half, I am confident, competent and experienced with caring for children and adolescents of all age ranges and needs. Currently, I work in the neonatal intensive care unit but I have previously worked in a children's hospice, caring for children with special needs. As well a working as a health visitor in Gateshead east. Previous assessors have commended my ability to engage with children through my creative spirit and great play skills. Irrespective of University, throughout sixth form and high school I have always undertaken mentoring / "buddy" roles for children in the younger years. Such as aiding dyslexic children with extra reading practice for an hour every Friday morning to develop their literacy skills. Moreover, I have 3 siblings at home and lots of house work to do. Since moving to university, I have lived independently for over a year and a half - I can assure you I can scrub a room spotless!

My Qualifications

As I am a student nurse, I am fully DBS checked and certified in basic life support of neonates, children & adolescents and adults. This is re-certified every year. I have passed the first year of a paediatric nursing course so I am a qualified healthcare support worker. Previous to university, I gained A-level qualifications in chemistry, biology and geography as well as 9 GCSEs grades A**-C.

My Availability

Friday evenings will always be available. Thursdays bi-weekly due to the structure of my University course. Some of these times will change due to university placement so please message for specifics!

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour

I am comfortable and capable in caring for multiple children with differing age ranges and needs. For babysitting it will be an hourly rate of £15-20 per hour per child. For house help I am willing to be more flexible with hourly rates.
