About Me

Hello! I am a qualified teacher, multi skilled and passionate person with a lot of energy and curiosity. I love looking after children and learning from each other. I highly value learning through play and interest and believe that it is important to be in a good mental space before learning can be effective.
I am originally from South Africa and have lived in the UK for the past 22 years. My favourite things in the world are nature, languages, creativity and connection. I have had many different jobs such as secondary school teacher, university administrator, freelance artist and software developer. What works best for me is a variety of different roles which is why I enjoy nannying and tutoring alongside my creative ventures.
I cook yummy food and (as a former fuss-pot myself) I like to make sure to cater to tastes while also encouraging gentle experimentation. I think it is great to involve children in the decision making and preparing of meal times.
Things you could expect from me as your child's/children's nanny: engaging and fun responsible adult presence to follow your existing routines/patterns, homework, mealtimes, no screen times (let's play instead), exploring what makes us fascinated, nature walks.
Things you could expect from me as your child's tutor: creative and super patient teaching style. Dedication preparation on either side of lessons based on individual needs.
I am entirely reliable, I will always be on time and show up.
