About Me
Self employed husband and wife team with two young children seeking household support to allow more space for rest and family time.
My Requirements
Temporary Household Help Wanted – Friendly Family Home, BS10
(Mondays / Tuesdays / Wednesdays – flexible)
We’re a warm, down-to-earth young family looking for a reliable, friendly household helper to lend a hand and help keep our home running smoothly during a busy (and exciting!) season of life.
This is very much a family-first role — we’re not expecting perfection, just someone kind, capable, and happy to muck in and support us.
What we think would work best
We think either: Mornings are ideal as Mum and the children are usually out, and our dog is also out with a dog
One morning per week for around 4 hours, or
Two mornings per week for around 3 hours per visit
would work really well.
walker, so you’d have calm, uninterrupted time in the house. That said, we’re very open and flexible and happy to chat through what might work best for you too.
About us
We’re a self-employed couple juggling a growing business alongside family life. We have two young children — a little girl aged 2 and a baby boy aged 10 weeks — and we’re simply looking for an extra pair of hands to help keep things manageable at home.
This is initially a temporary role, but there’s potential for it to continue longer term if it feels like a good fit on both sides.
The kind of help we’re looking for
Putting away the food shop and keeping the kitchen organised
Cooking simple, healthy vegetarian meals (usually two per visit – one for the day and one for the fridge)
Light snack or baking prep for the family
General tidying and light cleaning (we have a lovely cleaner every other week, so this is mainly hoovering and resets)
Laundry: washing, drying, folding, occasional ironing, and putting away
Changing bedding
Taking out bins and sorting recycling
Helping us reset the house so it feels calm and under control
A bit about our home
Dad works from home and is often on client calls in the mornings
Mum and the children are usually out in the mornings, home for lunch, then possibly out again in the afternoon (weather depending)
The children are at home, so trust, discretion, and kindness are really important to us
We have a friendly dog, so you’ll need to be comfortable around pets ?
You might be a great fit if you are:
Friendly, reliable, and happy working independently
Confident preparing simple, healthy vegetarian food
Someone with experience in household help or home support (helpful, but not essential)
DBS checked (or happy to obtain one)
? Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (very flexible, term time only is fine)
? Hours: Flexible, mornings preferred
? Pay: To be discussed with the right person
