About Me

We’re a calm, values-led family with two young children and a gentle family dog. As self-employed parents working from home, we’ve intentionally created a peaceful, well-structured environment that prioritises rhythm, presence, and a nurturing early years experience. We’re looking to build a long-term relationship with the right person as we expand our family.

? About Our Family
We are a warm, thoughtful family with two young children (aged 3 and 1), looking for a calm, experienced nanny to become a trusted part of our weekly rhythm.
Our home is peaceful, screen-free, and rooted in a gentle, child-led approach. We draw inspiration from Waldorf education and Montessori principles—valuing imagination, creativity, and time outdoors.
Our daughter will begin a Steiner pre-school in September, and we are looking for someone who can support her transition and continue to nurture her natural curiosity and love of learning at home.

? The Role
-This is a nurturing, low-pressure environment, with a focus on connection, rhythm, and age-appropriate development.
-A key part of the role will be spending calm, focused time with our eldest—supporting:
a love of stories, language, and books
early writing readiness through drawing and mark-making
gentle mathematical understanding through play and daily life
-All learning is approached in a play-based, developmentally led way, in keeping with a Steiner-inspired ethos (no formal instruction expected).
-At times, this may involve taking our youngest out for a buggy nap to allow for quiet one-to-one time.

The role also includes:
-Daily outdoor time (garden, park, nature walks)
-Preparing simple vegetarian snacks/meals
-Keeping play spaces calm and tidy
No housekeeping required.

? About You
We are looking for someone who is:
-Warm, calm, and emotionally attuned
-Experienced with early years (ages 1–4)
-Confident supporting school readiness in a gentle, play-based way
-Naturally creative—enjoys stories, crafts, baking, and imaginative play
-Comfortable outdoors in all seasons
-Aligned with (or genuinely interested in) Steiner / Montessori approaches

You’ll be someone who brings a steady, grounded presence, and values building a genuine relationship with the children.

? Practical Details
Both parents work from home (in a separate space)
Gentle settling-in period offered to support attachment
Friendly family dog in the home (no care required)
Cleaner and gardener employed

? Requirements
Essential:
DBS (or willing to obtain)
Paediatric First Aid
Safeguarding awareness
Solid early years experience

Highly valued:
Early Years qualification (Level 3+) or teaching background
Familiarity with Steiner, Waldorf, or Montessori approaches

Thank you Laura!

5 stars

Laura came into our home during a season that asked a lot of us.
2026 has held its fair share of weight for our family: a period of rapid growth in our business, with my husband pulled deeply into the demands of scaling, serious illness in our parents, and hospital stays with our children. Life has felt full, and at times, overwhelming. Our home has been busy in every sense of the word, people coming and going, emotions running high, very little pause in between.
We knew we needed support. Not just practically, but in a way that allowed us to soften a little, to rest where we could, and to meet everything in front of us with more steadiness as a couple.
Laura has been exactly that.
She brings a calm, grounded presence into the home. She’s warm, easy to be around, and quietly gets on with what’s needed. There’s a natural rhythm to the way she works, noticing what would help, stepping in without fuss, and also being completely open to guidance. When I’ve had priorities, I’ve written her a list, and she’s moved through it with care and intention. Communication has always felt simple and clear.
One of the greatest gifts she’s given us has been through food. Laura cooks nourishing, healthy vegetarian meals for our family, including thoughtful snacks for our toddler. We’d leave out recipes, she’d gather what she needed from our kitchen, cook, clean, and gently reset the space. It meant we could continue eating the foods we love. This offered a sense of familiarity and comfort for our toddler, even while so much else felt uncertain.
There’s something deeply supportive about being well fed during hard seasons and Laura has held that for us. If you’re feeling the weight of things, and wondering whether to reach out for support, take this as your nudge! Laura is a truly steady pair of hands.
THANK YOU LAURA! Xx
