My Experience

I have around 6 years of experience working with children, across a variety of ages and childcare settings. Throughout this time, I have gained a wide range of hands-on experience and developed a strong understanding of children's individual needs, development and wellbeing.

I currently work as a Year 1 Teaching Assistant, a role I have been in for the past 2 and a half years. I support children with their learning and development, day-to-day routines and emotional wellbeing. I work with children both individually and in groups, adapting my approach to suit their different personalities, abilities and needs. I also help to create a safe, positive and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable, confident and supported.

Before my current role, I worked for a year in a pre-school nursery room, where I gained valuable experience caring for younger children. This included supporting their development through play and activities, helping with daily routines, encouraging independence and ensuring their health, safety and wellbeing were always a priority.

I also completed a 2-year Childcare Diploma at college, which included 365 hours of placement experience with children of various ages and in different childcare environments. Alongside my practical placements, I completed coursework and assignments covering areas such as child development, safeguarding, supporting individual needs and planning activities to encourage children's learning and development.

Alongside my professional experience, I also regularly babysit for a family outside of my main job. This has given me additional experience caring for children in a home environment and supporting a family's individual routines and needs. I really enjoy building a trusting relationship with the children I babysit and being someone they feel comfortable and happy around.

Across my six years of experience, I have cared for and supported children of different ages, personalities and abilities. I am patient, reliable, nurturing and responsible, and I understand how important it is for children to feel safe, happy, listened to and cared for. I always aim to build positive relationships with the children I work with while providing a fun, engaging and supportive environment.

My Qualifications

I have a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare, which I completed over two years at college and acquired an A* overall and in all of my units. As part of my qualification, I completed 365 hours of practical placement experience working with children of different ages, alongside coursework covering child development, safeguarding, health and safety, wellbeing and other key areas of childcare.

Throughout my current role as a Teaching Assistant, I have also completed a range of additional training, including:

*Safeguarding training
*Asthma awareness and support
*EpiPen / anaphylaxis awareness
*First Aid training – I have previously completed First Aid training, although my certification is not currently in date. I have therefore had training in how to respond appropriately in an emergency.
*Food Safety & Awareness
*Mental Wellbeing training, completed during my childcare studies at college.

I am committed to continuing my training and keeping my knowledge up to date, particularly in areas that are important when caring for children. I understand the responsibility that comes with looking after children and always prioritise their safety, health and wellbeing.

My Availability

I am currently looking for a full-time nanny position with the right family and am very flexible when it comes to working hours and routines. I am also open to the idea of caring for multiple families part time if the days match up :)

I am currently employed but once I find the right family and agree on a position, I am happy to hand in my 4 weeks’ notice straight away. Following my notice period, I would be available to work Monday to Friday on a full-time basis.

I am flexible with the hours I work and would be happy to fit around the family's individual needs, whether that means an earlier start, later finish or specific hours that work best around your children's routines.

I am not available to work weekends due to existing personal commitments, but I am fully available Monday to Friday.

I am looking for a long-term position where I can become a trusted and reliable part of a family's routine and provide consistent, caring support throughout the week.

My Fees

• Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)
• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour

My current nannying rate is £13–£15 per hour, depending on the children's ages, responsibilities involved and the hours required.

As this would be my full-time position, I am also happy to discuss a fixed daily, weekly or monthly rate with the right family. I understand that every family's needs are different, so I am very open to having a conversation about the hours, responsibilities and overall arrangement to agree on a rate that works fairly for everyone.
