Looking for a lovely extra pair of hands ?
We’re a busy family looking for someone lovely to help make everyday life run a little more smoothly.
With both of us self-employed and working, and my own working hours increasing, we’ve reached the point where an extra pair of hands at home would make a huge difference. We have a toddler and teenagers, so life is busy, varied and very rarely predictable!
We’d love to find someone reliable, kind and easy-going who could become a regular and trusted part of our week.
It would be a really varied role. Some days might involve spending time with our little one, helping with a pickup or drop-off, or giving one of the older children a lift. Other days it might be putting some washing on, changing beds, doing a little tidying, preparing something simple to eat, or just noticing the things that need doing and helping us keep on top of them.
We’re not looking for a nanny or a cleaner as such. We’re really looking for someone who enjoys family life, is naturally practical and organised, and is happy to muck in and help wherever the day requires.
There can be some flexibility around days and hours for the right person, but ideally we’d love to find someone who wants something regular and longer term and who, over time, becomes someone we know we can really rely on.
A driving licence would be helpful and, most importantly, we’re looking for someone we can completely trust and feel comfortable having around our children and in our home.

My Requirements
Our childcare needs are quite varied as we have a toddler as well as teenagers, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable with different ages and can fit naturally into busy family life.
The main childcare element would be helping with our toddler – spending time with them at home, playing, preparing meals or snacks and generally keeping them happy and occupied while we’re working.
There may also be occasional help needed with nursery/school runs, after-school activities, pickups and lifts for the older children, particularly as my working hours increase.
We’re not looking for someone to take over from us as parents, but rather someone dependable who can be that extra pair of hands when we need it and who our children will enjoy having around.
