About Me
Hi, My name is Joanne and I’m an Ofsted registered childminder based in Epsom in surrey. I live with my husband and we have 3 boys aged 18,15 and 13 . I have been working in childcare for over 25 years and am a qualified primary school teacher.
I offer a home from home friendly environment that your child will be welcomed into. I will encourage them to be independent, confident and happy learners. They will have access to several educational and fun resources in a playroom and a large garden in which to explore.
Activities are planned around children’s interests, developmental needs and selected themes. I will offer real life experiences such as gardening, baking and cooking. We will explore our local community including days out to the local parks, libraries, play centres and more.
My Experience
I have worked in Early Years sector for over 25 yrs. I have worked as a nanny and in day care nurseries. In 2001 I became a Qualified primary school teacher and have worked with nursery and reception aged children for most of my teaching career. I have a passion for the early years and my experience has given me a great understanding of the EYFS and how to provide necessary opportunities for children to reach their full potential.
