About Me

Hi, I'm Shannon. I'm 21 years old born and raised in Reading by my wonderful grandparents. I have lots of childcare experience and have followed in my late Nan's footsteps of becoming a Teaching Assistant.

My Experience

I am a Primary school Teaching Assistant working with children in KS1 between 5 and 7 but am happy to look after any child of primary school age. I also have experience with working with children from 18 months to 4 years as I have often assisted my partners mum who is a registered childminder in school holidays. I am DBS checked and have completed the 12 hour pediatric first aid course. I have training to help support children with SEND and am confident doing so. I am happy to work with up to 3 children at a time.

My Qualifications

I am currently working towards my level 3 teaching assistant qualification. I have GSCEs in Maths and English as well as other subjects. I have completed various training courses as part of my course including various SEND training courses. I also have pediatric first aid training.

My Availability

As I am a Teaching Assistant I do work 5 days a week until 3:30 but am available evenings, school holidays and weekends.

Incredible babysitting services

Shannon has been providing ad hoc babysitting services for my 1.5 year old son. He’s quite shy around new people but warmed to Shannon instantly and adores her. Shannon is kind, empathetic, punctual, responsive and respects our parenting preferences. She also has great experience with children of all ahe’s and I highly recommend her to anyone!
