About Me
I am a senior literacy tutor currently working with children from 5 to 11 and I have previously been based in London Primary Schools. I worked for a charity and tutored children on a 1:1 basis. My job involves lots of pastoral care and a fun loving approach to learning. The children I work with often come from troubled or challenging backgrounds and patience, gentleness and a loving approach are natural to me.
I now fucus on private education and children who find reading a challenge. I specialise is early years phonics but have also helped 2 children through their 11+ and into their chosen school.
I have lived all over the world and travelled extensively. I am a very good swimmer. I love the outdoors, music reading, adventure, history and travel.
My Experience
I worked for a children's literacy charity for nearly 5 years and was a nanny for a family with sole charge of 2 boys before that, organising their days and outings.
I currently work 1:1 with children in school from ages 5+ helping them to read and write using interactive resources and games. I love working with children and am currently looking for a new term time position working for a nice family.
My Qualifications
Spld Qualification, specifying in Dyslexia
I obtained my Spld certificate (specialising in dyslexia) from Springboard for Children, now The Children's Literacy Charity.
My Availability
I am currently only available to work online for virtual lessons.
