My Requirements

Required:
We are looking to find someone who may be interested in occasionally looking after both our children in the evenings on occasion (having fun with the kids, sorting their tea, and settling for bedtime routines and then happy for you to watch tv, order a takeaway and just listen out for if they need anything! George (1) likes to chill in bed for a bit before he goes to sleep to wind down, and Olivia is quite happy chilling watching her iPad once you tell her it’s time to go up to bed, however if she likes you prepare for a Disney marathon!). My partner and I would love to go start going out for the occasional meal every now and again as a couple as we have not done this since the children were born! It’s essential for us to find someone perfect for the children, Olivia is a sensitive soul and George has a global development delay so it is important for us to find someone who understands this and George’s needs. We are happy to tell you more about George upon meeting.
We would like you to meet the children a couple of times before we decide to leave them for a few hours, we have never left the children’s care to anyone in our home before so it’s important to us that the children are comfortable with the sitter. We will pay you to come a couple of times for an hour or so (paid) to get used to the children before looking after them for a longer period of time for you and the children to get used to each other.

Looking but not essential:
I also work school hours 9-3 Monday to Friday. I am looking for someone reliable and caring to look after my daughter whilst I am at work during the school holidays.
My previous childminder informed me of her upcoming retirement in July 2025, I have found a nursery placement for my son but require a placement for my daughter, at present Olivia comes to work with me during the holidays but it would be better for both me and Olivia if she has someone fun to be around while I’m at work!

My son attends nursery all year round from June so I do not require childcare for my son.
My daughter Olivia however will require a gentle individual to care for her during school holidays.

Olivia is a kind and sensitive little girl, she is very quiet and plays very well with other children. Olivia is a real girls girl, she is a lovely little girl and loves animals, she is used to being with a childminder from a young age. Olivia can be in a home that has animals, as we have a dog and two cats.
I am happy to pay for Olivia to come for some taster sessions and would rather do this so both parties and Olivia are happy. It is essential to me that Olivia is happy and comfortable with where she is.

I would also consider a nanny to come to our home, to spend time with Olivia getting to know her and then caring for her in our home when I am at work. The nanny would have to be ok with animals as we have pets in our home, so prepare for the cats to demand food every 20 minutes & slobbery kisses from our Labrador!

I cannot stress enough how important it is to me that Olivia is happy and comfortable with the person. I’d love for her to have lots of fun and look forward to seeing her caregiver, so I am happy to wait for the perfect person, and if necessary, Olivia would continue to come to work with me until I find the perfect match for her.
