My Experience
As a Teaching Assistant, I work closely with children to support their learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing. I have experience working with children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), providing tailored one-to-one support, adapting activities to meet individual needs, and promoting inclusion within the classroom. This has strengthened my patience, adaptability, and ability to respond calmly and effectively to different behaviours and learning styles.
Alongside my role in education, I have experience working as a carer, which has developed my sense of responsibility, compassion, and attentiveness. Providing care has enhanced my understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing, and the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment. In addition, caring for my younger siblings and cousins has given me practical childcare experience, further strengthening my communication skills, reliability, and nurturing approach.
