About Me

*Space available for June 2026 start and September 2026 spaces available*
Little Squirrels Childminding West Hill. I am a registered childminder based in the village of West Hill. I live with my husband, two children and our very friendly dog Monty. I work from my home and following the EYFS I support children with learning through play, arts and crafts and adventures outdoors. We have a lovely enclosed garden with lots of resources and regularly take trips out to local parks, beaches and attractions.

My Experience

I have a long history in Aviation and Engineering but decided to become a childminder after my maternity leave for my second child.
I became a director of the Preschool and I now work as a Childminder at home.
It is amazing to offer a level of learning and care to other peoples children alongside my own children and see the friendships formed within my setting.

My Qualifications

I have completed Ofsted approved childcare training and have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework required to become a Registered Childminder.

My Availability

I am available between the hours of 0800 - 1730 Monday - Thursday and I can offer after school care from the local West Hill Preschool and Primary school.

My Ofsted Inspections

The inspection grades below have been obtained from the Ofsted website based upon the registration number the childminder has provided to us. You should verify this information yourself prior to using the childminder.

Latest Inspection Report Card

24 March 2026
Exceptional 0 categories
Strong standard 0 categories
Expected standard 2 categories
Needs attention 4 categories
Urgent improvement 0 categories
Safeguarding standards met
This childminder setting meets safeguarding requirements and fulfils Childcare Register standards, with two areas assessed at the expected standard and four areas needing attention. Strengths include warm, caring relationships with children, a curriculum supporting physical development, communication, mathematics and healthy eating habits, and children developing good independence skills. However, improvements are needed around establishing consistent sleep routines, as some children become too tired to fully engage in learning, and around sharing information with parents and other professionals to better support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, ensuring quicker progress. Leadership has identified these priorities but has not yet swiftly embedded the necessary changes into everyday practice.
