About Me

Hello, I’m Zoe, 19 from Scotland. I’m currently looking for a full time live in nanny job in Scotland. I would be able to start 1st may until 7th june, then 22nd August for a permanent job

My Experience

Starting with my first experience with children was when I helped out in a babies music class. This was my first time working with babies. We would play ball games and play musical instruments to widen their cognitive skills, while really enjoying this role it was sadly only for a short period of time, as I was still in high school doing my exams at that time.
I then later began to babysit 2 young children, (6&7 year olds) I bonded with the children very fast. We would spend after school together at the park or baking. They were great kids. It was lovely working with them. While I was babysitting I was also working in a family run cafe. I ended up working there for a year as I got on extremely well with my co-workers and it was very convenient for me. This came to an end as I left to go over to America to work in a summer camp! I worked at a special needs summer camp for 9 weeks just outside New York City. It was the most fulfilling experience I’ve had yet, it was exceptionally hard, nonetheless it was some of the best, most filled with love weeks of my life. The kids were amazing. My coworkers were extremely supportive. I thrived in the setting of constantly on the go. Always having to sort out different scenarios as things would get escalated extremely fast. After camp I left feeling like this is what I should have been doing all the year before after I left school. So I made the decision to au pair in Germany for 4 weeks with a family who had an 8 year old boy named Anton. Anton has severe autism, he is nonverbal, the most loving, incredible little boy I’ve met. Outstandingly smart, it takes my breath away, he listens to everything and understands his emotions. This was another eye opening time that made me realise that I’m going down the right path… working with children.
After Germany finished I went back to Scotland to be with friends and family for around 4 weeks. At this point I then got reached out and given the opportunity to move to London to au pair for twin 8 year old girls. So here I am now in London looking after 2 sweet, creative, grateful girls.

My Qualifications

I have no official qualifications, but I do think I make up on this with a lot of experience, expanding my knowledge even though I haven’t been to college or university. I have references that can vouch for this.

My Availability

I would like to work Monday to Friday preferably, and would be able to work occasionally weeks if needed
