About Me
Hello my name is Shannon, I am 28 years old and I live with my husband and 3 year old daughter. My daughter will be with me throughout the day when not at nursery but my husband will be at work during the day being in the home from 4pm.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking and going on days out with my family.
My home backs onto a small wooded area where we like to have a walk and look for bugs and go on bear hunts. We are also located within walking distance to a couple of parks.
My Experience
Since I was young, I have had a passion for nurturing and caring for children, which was emphasised when I had my own child. I have an abundance of experience from working in nursery settings, childminding settings, school settings and I also took on a nannying role.
I started in a nursery setting after leaving school, realising college wasn't for me and wanted to get into the childcare sector. I worked in the nursery for 2 years where I planned activities, helped prepare meals and worked closely with the children for next steps.
I worked in the childminder setting for 2 years where I worked with children aged 6 months to 11 years as we also had children before and after school. In this role I planned activities to meet next steps and had key children I built relationships with, one of which I nannied for for 3 months.
I worked in the school setting for 4 years where I worked my way from a teaching assistant to teaching a class of SEND children. In this role I planned lessons and liaised with professionals on the development of the children. I also have some experience with makaton which I am developing
My Qualifications
I hold my level 2 childcare qualification as well as an at home based childcare qualification.
I have an up to date paediatric first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding qualification.
My Availability
My available hours are 7.30 am - 5pm.
During these times I will offer breakfast, lunch, snacks and a light tea which is included in my rate.
Nappies and outings to playgroups and soft play etc will also be included in my rate
I do not currently offer before and after school pick up or drop off, but this may change to pick up and drop off at Calow CofE. Please message if this is something you need

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.27 per hour
My fees once registered will be £5.27 per hour. These fees include all nappies, meals, snacks and outings.
