About Me
Hello, I'm mum to a 12 month old, looking for childcare 2 days a week. We have tried out nursery but our baby is slow to warm to strangers and is sensitive to the bustle of a nursery. We think she would feel much safer with a childminder or nanny where she can have a more attuned relationship with her carer to help her develop a bond. We are flexible as to which 2 days of the week we need support, or this could even be across half days.

Nanny job description
About us: We are a family of 3 (mum, dad and 12 month old). We are a non-smoking home with a cat.
Location: <10 minute walk from Forest Hill station, between Forest Hill and Honor Oak Park. Free parking available.
Date/times: Part time nanny; 2 days per week, flexible which days. 9am-6pm desired but can be flexible.
Job description:
• Sole charge, or nanny share with nanny's own child, nanny for 12 month old. Mum is likely to be working from home most days, especially at the start, so can be available to help transition Baby into this new relationship.
• Responsible for all aspects of baby care during hours: engaging in play, nappy changes, food prep and cleanup, baths where needed, settling for naps, taking baby out each day (walks, the Horniman, playgroups, etc.), where possible laundering baby clothes and washing up feeding items.
Person requirements:
• Relevant experience
• Gentle, attachment focussed, responsive, kind and caring, and child-led
• Fun and engaging
• Able to establish a nurturing, attuned relationship with a baby who is wary of strangers
• Professional, with good communication skills, and collaborative
• DBS, first aid training, safeguarding training
• Non-smoker
• Ideally: Ofsted registered and with relevant educational background (child development/psychology, education, childcare, etc.)

Date/times: 2 days per week, flexible which days. Start ASAP but we can wait a few months if needed.
