Hey! I'm a fun-loving, mindful and present nanny. I strive to create trusting and fun relationships with the kids I look after, prioritising play, time in nature, and encouraging self-development, learning and responsibility! I'm also a recent anthropology graduate now studying for a master's in psychology and child development, so I'm always learning on the job and in school. Working with kids brings me a lot of joy, as does supporting parents as I know how valuable reliable support is to any family. I'm looking to work with families/kids who also love and prioritise time in nature, fun learning, experimentation and creativity. In terms of discipline, I like to take a 'firm but gentle' approach.
My Experience
I have been working with kids as a babysitter since I was 14, and then as a reading and writing tutor for SEN kids when I was 18. Since starting university at 21 I have been working as a nanny so far for three different families around Bristol, and discovered my love for the job. So far I have worked with a 3 yr old, 4 yr old, 5/6yr old and 7yr old, all of which have been amazing. I have also done ad-hoc festival childcare as well as night nannying when required. I also have some experience with SEN kids, having three brothers with Autism and working as an SEN tutor. My favourite things to do with kids are reading, baking, playing outside/in parks, arts and crafts and the occasional movie night.
My Qualifications
I'm DBS checked, First Aid qualified and currently on my way to completing another first aid qualification.
My Availability
I am currently looking particularly for overnight and early morning work, as I have another nanny job a couple of hours a week, but as that contract is finishing soon I am flexible.
