A little bit about me. I am a qualified teacher and decided to become a childminder so that I can still work with children while also spending more time at home with my two children (aged 9 and 11)
I live in Orpington, close to a local park and playground. I have my own garden with lots of toys for the children to explore and enjoy (including a little tykes cottage, small climbing apparatus, swing, slides, trampoline and sand and water tables as well as some little tykes cars and a variety of different ride ons).
I also have a separate playroom with a range of toys and activities for the children to enjoy, including messy play, small world, musical instruments, Puzzles, dressing up, and toot toot etc
I enjoy taking the children out for the day to local parks and farms and currently have an annual membership to Kent life to which I visit regularly. Other places I like to visit are my local park, Greenwich Park, and swanley park as well as local soft plays. I also go to a baby and toddler group once a week.

My Experience
I have worked in childcare for 25 years now, 5 years of which were spent teaching years 3, 4 and 5, however I have experience in all of the primary phase. I left teaching in 2015 and worked in an early years setting and then after having my second child in 2016, I decided to complete my Ofsted registration to become a childminder and have been childminding ever since.
My Qualifications
Homebased childcare course (HBCA) offered through pacey (professional association for childcare and early years)
Peadriatric first aid
BA (hons) in Primary Education with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) specialising in Mathematics.
My Availability
I offer both term time and full time places.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I accept all forms for government funding.
My Local Schools

Lisa is the best childminder we ever had!
My son attended her setting for a few months until sadly we had to move out the Orpington area.
Whilst in her care, my son enjoyed countless days of fun activities and days out. He had done numerous arts and crafts and developed a special bond with Lisa and her family.
Lisa’s children are adorable and very caring. Emily, her daughter, used to look out for my son and she became like a sister to him.
Lisa was also very flexible and understanding of my situation and it was so reassuring to know that she can accomodate us whatever the situation. E.g. in lockdown (key workers) / furlough scheme / half term cover etc
Lastly, I never felt like my son was looked after by a ‘childminder’ but rather by a family member.
Lisa, you are so special! And we cannot thank you enough for everything you did for Edi! You have a special place in our hearts xx

Lisa has been very reliable looking after my little one. She always arrives early to pick up. She has been very accommodating with our needs. She updated me with my daughter’s activities with her and also sends me photos which are fantastic. I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone looking for a childminder.

Lisa has taken care of my son during some holidays, half term or sometimes weekends. She is a lovely person, very warm and experienced with children. Her home is a lovely setting, full of toys and her children are very welcoming and enjoy playing with other children, so my son really likes going there.
She is great at providing information during the day too. It is always difficult to leave your child for childcare, but I feel very comfortable leaving my son with her. It is a happy and safe environment and I can highly recommend her.
