A one of a kind setting!

Janine’s setting is truly unique. My son started at 2.5 years old and it offers so much more than a traditional nursery or childminding environment, making it perfect for children who are ready to explore, learn, and grow in a more enriching way. Set in the beautiful forest setting, there are endless opportunities for children to develop a genuine love of nature and spend time outdoors with lots of freedom and chances to discover new things each day.

She encourages independence in every child regardless of their age, and thoughtfully creates new activities each week that inspire learning in fun and inventive ways. The crafts and ideas she introduces are always so creative and far beyond what I would think to do at home.

We love how you can feel Janine’s passion in everything she does, it really shows in the care and attention she gives the children to create exciting and adventurous days. My son is excited to go every day, and it’s so reassuring to see how much he trusts and loves her.

Janine has also created a warm and exciting culture regularly hosting seasonal gatherings that bring parents and children together.

My son has made some wonderful friends and if we weren’t moving away, I would have kept him with Janine until he starts school.

Her setting goes far beyond what you might expect from a typical childcare provider, it’s an environment where children can truly thrive and we will be gutted to leave her soon.

So thankful we found Catherine.

We were incredibly lucky to have Catherine care for our son for a year and a half while we were living near Swindon as a military family. Being new to the area, our original nursery plans unexpectedly fell through but then as if it were fate we found Catherine with an available spot. From our very first meeting, I instantly felt at ease. I just knew our son would be happy, safe, and so well cared for in her hands, and that’s the most important thing when your little one isn’t quite ready to be away from you.

Our son hadn’t spent much time apart from me before, but thanks to Catherine’s warm and gentle approach, he settled in so quickly. In the early days, when he struggled with nap time without me, Catherine supported him with such patience and care. It made all the difference knowing he was being lovingly comforted and helped to find his own rhythm.

There hasn’t been a single day when Catherine hasn’t kept us updated with all the lovely things they’ve done, every day has something new and exciting planned, whether it’s different toys (which she has endless), creative activities (which always amazed me), learning opportunities, or adventures out and about. She also shares photos and a daily journal, which we’ve absolutely treasured. It’s been such a joy to see what he’s been up to and how much he’s grown.

Catherine truly understands each child as an individual and tailors her days to help them flourish. Our son has been so happy with her, and we’ve watched him thrive in her care. As we now move on to our next adventure, we feel incredibly grateful to have had Catherine as such a special part of our time here. We’ll always remember his time with 'Ca-Ca', and we’ll be reminding him all about it for years to come.
