Hello,
I’m a single mum ( full time student at CCCU) to a wonderful and energetic 2.5-year-old daughter, whom I’m raising on my own. She’s full of joy, always smiling, and absolutely loves learning and exploring the world around her.
She’s a very social little girl who enjoys playing with other children, spending time outdoors, and being around animals. For her age, she has lovely manners — she knows how to say "please," "thank you," and "sorry" when appropriate. She’s also learning to share and shows great awareness of others' feelings.
Of course, as a toddler, she’s still learning about boundaries and the difference between fun and potential danger — which is why I’m looking for more than just a carer. I’m hoping to find a childminder who will be a positive role model: someone nurturing, patient, and supportive, who can help reinforce life lessons and boundaries in a kind and consistent way.
Ideally, I’d love to find someone who can be a partner in my daughter’s development — a caregiver and a teacher — and who understands the balance of fun, safety, and learning through play. As a single parent, I’d truly appreciate someone who can work with me to support my daughter’s growth emotionally, socially, and developmentally.

I cannot recommend Paula Richardson highly enough. As a single mother, I have felt incredibly supported by Paula, and I will always be grateful for everything she has done for my child and for me.
Paula provides so much more than childcare. She combines education with play, helping children develop their skills, confidence and independence while preparing them for school. Her setting is not simply a place where children are left to play; every day is thoughtfully planned and filled with meaningful activities that support their learning and development. She encourages children to explore life, the world around them, their emotions and everything they need to understand and experience at this important age.
The setting is always clean, welcoming and well organised, with plenty of activities for the children to do. Paula makes excellent use of the space and resources, ensuring that the children are engaged and learning throughout the day. They enjoy a wide range of activities, including creative play, role play, outdoor play, exploring nature and the local community, visits to parks, museums and other places, as well as activities that help them express their feelings, build curiosity and understand the world around them.
My child is always so happy with Paula and has grown so much in her care. She has made wonderful friendships, become more confident and developed excellent social skills and self-discipline. She often asks at the weekend, when Paula is not working, “Can we go to Paula?” Linette loves going to Paula's so much that she used to get upset at weekends when she couldn't go, until she understood that Paula was closed.
Paula is an incredibly supportive childminder. Whenever I have needed her, she has always been there for us. As a single mother, life can be very challenging, but Paula has always been understanding, reliable and supportive.
Another wonderful benefit is that Paula provides hot meals/lunches. This has been a great help, as I do not have to worry about preparing lunches just snacks. The children eat together and share the same meals, which helps them learn how to sit together at the table, eat as a group and develop positive social habits.
Paula is kind, caring, professional and dedicated. My child has developed so well in her care, and I feel completely confident knowing she is safe, happy and learning every day. I would recommend Paula and Little Learners Home Nursery to any parent looking for a nurturing, educational and supportive setting.
