About Me
Hello, my name is Georgia Britt. I live in Ambleside and I have a level 3 National Extended Diploma in Children’s Play, Learning and Development. I have now been a nanny for 2 years and I have previously worked at Kiddiwinks Day Nursery in Ambleside predominantly with children aged 3 months to two years, for just over a year. Since then I have taken on many babysitting jobs for the children I looked after at the nursery, working full days and evenings with children ranging from 3 weeks to 6 years. I believe in experiential learning, I enjoy the outdoors and getting messy but also love ending the day with a quiet story and a cuddle.
As a Nanny I believe children in nursery’s are not able to play in and explore the outdoors as much as they should! Being outdoors is so important for young children’s development and we should make the most of it, especially when living in the Lake District! I love to play outdoors, splash in rivers and I’m not afraid of a bit of mud!
I also love going to the swimming pool and supporting children to gain a positive and playful relationship with the water whilst being safe and learning valuable life skills!
Available for Nanny share for up to two children from the age of 1+
I am also happy to accompany as a holiday/travel nanny and have experience traveling with families

I have then gone one to work at Kiddiwinks Day Nursery, in the Baby Room with children aged between 3 months to two years.
I also babysit for a large number of family’s from the nursery and through word of mouth, other families and businesses from the local community.
Most recently I have been a Nanny for a little boy for two years who is now moving on to start school. We loved going to the swimming pool twice a week where I taught him to swim, going on lots muddy walks and nature adventures, trips to local farms, lots of messy play, trips to the library, educational games, going paddle boarding at the lake, playgroups at local schools and nursery’s, going to the aquarium, going to soft plays, play areas and so much more!

We absolutely loved having Georgia as our nanny. She cared for our son over the past two years, from his 2 till 4 yo. Georgia treated him like a member of her own family and filled his days with fun, meaningful experiences and adventures. From hiking, paddle boarding and trips to children's activity centres to baking, crafting and exploring new places, every day was active, engaging and different. She also introduced him to swimming, which he absolutely loves now.
When our son was diagnosed with autism, Georgia's support was invaluable. She embraced and reinforced all aspects of his therapies, including ABA, PECS communication, toilet training and developing self-care skills such as dressing independently, washing, etc. Her patience, positivity and calm nature helped him make progress. I'm especially grateful that she regularly invited our son to have dinner and spend time with her big family, my son absolutely loved those visits, always came back happy.
I can say, Georgia is a truly exceptional nanny. Our son adored her, and so did we.
