About Us

YSGOL FEITHRIN PONTYPWL is a Welsh medium non maintained community day care and sessional care Nursery. We take children between two and a half and 5 years old and are based in a large community Hall in the centre of Pontypool. We have a large outside play area and Pontypool Park is close by. Our Nursery was established over 40 years ago and we are registered with CIW and ESTYN. You can find a copy of our joint report from Summer 2022 on Estyn's website.

Our Fees

  • Childcare from £13.00 per morning
  • Childcare from £13.00 per afternoon

We try to keep our fees reasonably priced. Children only need to pay until the term after their third birthday as we are registered with Torfaen Council for all 3 and 4 year olds to receive 10 hours of educational funding a week which is the equivelant of 4 half day sessions. We are also registered to accept children funded through the 30 hours Welsh Government childcare offer.
