My interests are home cooking and the great outdoors. I’m originally from Portugal but have been living in the UK for 30 years.
My setting is between West Norwood
and Tulse Hill station and close to transport services. The setting is a ground floor house conversion with a good size garden. We are within close proximity of Streatham common, local parks and Library.
My Experience
I’ve been working within the childcare sector for 20 years as a full-time Nanny.
Many bilingual families Spanish , Italian and English.
During my time as a nanny I have worked with many families, gaining experience with all ages of children from six months through to late teens.
I have now completed my training in Homecare Childcare and Early Learning and have gained an Ofsted registration to allow me to work within a home based environment. My curriculum delivers childcare and early education to children aged from birth to five years.

Silvia has been amazing as our childminder to our daughter, Bella. Bella, now 15 months, has been with Silvia for 6 months, and instantly settled in to her home and routine- which includes baby classes, and play groups . She seems to love her time there, and as first time parents we feel reassured that our child is safe and having fun- Silvia always provides regular updates/photos of what they are doing.
Bella is always excited to see Silvia and really enjoys her time with her and the other children.

We recently settled our one year old in with Silvia for regular childminding. She has been wonderful, not only providing a fun and caring environment for our son but has supported us with the settling in and helping us navigate funding with the council. She is super easy to communicate with and also flexible. Silvia takes the kids on outings every day, making sure they get loads of engagement and fresh air. She makes lovely homemade meals and generally provides a lovely and caring environment. We feel lucky to have found her!

Sylvia has been an absolutely wonderful childminder to my son who is now 16 months old and been with her since 12 months. He settled in so easily with little fuss. He loves spending time with Silvia and it makes me so happy to see how happy he is when I come to pick him up. On occasion, he doesn’t want to leave! (Thanks kiddo 😂…but of course it means he is well taken care of!)
Silvia always takes him out and about and helps him learn boundaries, play and general toddler things. He is confident and chilled and always happy - thank you Sylvia for helping with this at such an important developmental stage.
I would recommend Sylvia to anyone looking for a minder. I know it’s very hard to find someone you trust with your most precious little person, I got good vibes from her on first meet and was not wrong.

Silvia is a wonderful nanny/Childminder. Silvia has provided ad-hoc childminding and weekly babysitting for our family since my little boy was born almost 3 years ago and we couldn't be more happy with her services. Silvia is very caring and attentive, she makes fresh homemade meals everyday and always has a bunch of activities for the kids to do. Silvia's love of children is reflected on her work and it is clear to see the love my son has for her, always leaves wanting to spend more time with Silvia.

Sylvia was a nanny to my two boys for two years. She is wonderful with children and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending her as a childminder. She always kept the house organised and clean, made delicious fresh meals for the boys and kept them busy and entertained with activities. She is trustworthy, caring and very efficient.
