About Me
I’m Bobby, a qualified Early Years Teacher, registered childminder and father of three, with more than 10 years’ experience working in early years and leading nursery settings. I run Kindërling, a childminding setting in Wheathampstead, with the support of two experienced early years assistants.
After years of working in larger nursery environments, I wanted to create something more personal — a small setting where children could receive the individual attention and care that can be difficult to achieve in a larger nursery, while still having the opportunities, experiences and professional approach you would expect from a high-quality early years setting.
That’s why I created Kindërling.
I’m passionate about giving children a childhood filled with real experiences. We get outside every day, explore the local countryside, grow fruit and vegetables at our neighbouring allotment, care for our chickens, get muddy, make things, ask questions and learn through play.
Running Kindërling means getting to know every child and family really well. I want parents to feel confident that their child is genuinely known, understood and cared for, and that they have someone they can talk to whenever they need advice or support.
For me, Kindërling is about creating a place where children feel safe, happy and confident to be themselves — while giving them the freedom to explore, develop their independence and simply enjoy being children.
My Experience
I have worked in early years for more than 10 years, with experience across both childcare and nursery leadership.
I’m a qualified Early Years Teacher and registered childminder, and before creating Kindërling I spent several years working in nursery settings, including leadership roles. This gave me a broad understanding of early years practice, child development and what children need to feel safe, secure and ready to learn.
Throughout my career, I’ve particularly enjoyed creating environments where children can develop confidence and independence through play, exploration and real-life experiences. I’ve also worked closely with parents and families, supporting them through the different stages of their child’s early years.
I bring that experience into Kindërling every day, while keeping the personal, family feel that makes a small childminding setting so special.

My Availability
I have availability from September 2026.
My Fees
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour
We’re open Monday to Thursday, 8am–5pm, for 50 weeks of the year, with term-time-only places also available.
Fees are based on the sessions your child attends and are paid monthly, making payments consistent and easier for families to budget for.
We accept Early Years Entitlement funding for eligible children. For children receiving 30 hours funding, we stretch the funding across our 50-week year, giving 22.8 funded hours per week. The remaining hours are charged at our usual rate, with the unfunded element calculated across the year and divided into 12 equal monthly payments.
For children receiving 15 hours funding, fees are based on 38 weeks of attendance and spread across 11 monthly payments.
We also accept Tax-Free Childcare and workplace childcare voucher schemes.
