About Me
Hi, I’m Amy, a 36-year-old Ofsted-registered Childminder based in LS16 on the new Spring Wood estate in Bramhope.
I provide a warm, home-from-home setting where children feel safe, happy, and valued. My aim is to create a calm, caring, nurturing, and fun environment where children can learn through play, both indoors and outdoors. We enjoy a variety of activities, local outings, and playgroups, giving children plenty of opportunities to explore, make friends, and develop confidence.
I am passionate about supporting every child in all areas of their development while encouraging independence, curiosity, and self-belief. Every child is treated as an individual, and I work closely with families to ensure they feel happy, secure, and supported.
I live with my husband, who works until after 5pm, and our two daughters, aged 5 and 8, who both attend school full-time. We complete the school run between 8:15am and 9:00am, so children can be dropped off between 8:00am and 8:15am or from 9:00am onwards.
Our family is kind, welcoming, and loves having little ones join us to play and learn. We don’t have any pets, although we do love animals!

I hold a CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and Education qualification. 17 years childcare experience. 8 years experience as a room manager in a nursery age 0-5, followed by 9 years as a Teaching Assistant in Primary schools in two schools age 3-11. I am paediatric first aid trained.

Contracted hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
Rates: £7 per hour, funding accepted and tax free childcare.

Our child has been with Amy for almost a full year now, and we have seen him grow in so many ways since he first started. Amy has been instrumental in building our child’s confidence, language, and understanding. Along with help from his little friends, he has come on leaps and bounds. We have found a home-from-home setting with Amy, which is exactly what we were looking for. Our child adores Amy and his little friends, he feels safe and happy in Amy’s care, and we feel so lucky every day that we found Amy and our child is in her care. She attends to not only our child’s, but also our needs too, which we are so incredibly grateful for.

We are incredibly grateful to have such a great childminder. From the very beginning, Amy has been warm, caring, reliable, and professional. She creates a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where our child is happy, settled, and supported.
Our child has grown in confidence and always looks forward to spending time with her. Amy provides a lovely balance of fun, learning, creativity, and routine, and it is clear how much care and thought she puts into each day. Communication is always excellent, and we feel fully reassured knowing our child is in such capable hands.
We would highly recommend her to any family looking for a trustworthy, kind, and dedicated childminder.

I could not recommend Amy enough, my daughter had such positive experiences with Amy and still misses her and talks about her now in pre-school. She provides a home from home environment which we loved, and my daughter always felt happy, comfortable and excited each day. Amy goes above and beyond to make sure the children are provided with educational and fun activities each day, which increased my daughter's confidence and development so much.

From day one our children have felt comfortable, nurtured and safe. They absolutely adore Amy and look forward to going there everyday. We also cannot be happier with the service Amy provides. Communication and care are both top notch. We could not recommend Amy highly enough.

I honestly can't recommend Amy enough! 💕
She was absolutely amazing with my twins, and I couldn't have wished for a better childminder. It was the first time leaving my girls with someone else and Amy made it very easy. I never once worried while they were in her care. They were always doing different activities and have a great time. I also saw her in action at a local playgroup she attended with the children she looked after and she was always so attentive and prepared for anything. Amy was one of the reasons I didn’t want to move house as it meant I would have to find other childcare. Couldn’t recommend her enough ❤️
