About Me

We are looking for a part time nanny / nanny housekeeper, available as soon as possible, to work on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (around 25 hours across 4 days - see below) for our almost 2 year old daughter, Georgia.

Sadly, our current lovely nanny, who has been with us for the last 9 months is leaving us soon and we are hoping to find someone with whom we can have another positive experience with.

A little about Georgia and us

About Our Daughter
Our daughter is 21 months old — a bright, verbally expressive little girl whose curiosity and
thoughtfulness are really beginning to flourish. Her pretend play is just beginning to emerge —
she's starting to explore early make-believe and imaginative play. She especially loves being
read to. She’s very tuned in to language, emotionally observant, and often careful but bold in
equal measure — taking her time, and then stepping forward with confidence when she’s ready. She tends to be slightly wary around other small children — she’s sensitive and attuned. She enjoys emotional closeness when it feels earned — when she senses something trustworthy or appealing in the other person. She seems to like someone being alongside her as she explores, rather than leading or stepping in too quickly. She's building her capacity to communicate what she wants with growing clarity, and we try to support that without rushing her.

Our Home
We live near the Hackney / Islington border in a calm, child-friendly home. There are parks and
green spaces nearby, as well as local playgroups. Sometimes one of us will be working from home in a separate room, though we aim to give the nanny full space and autonomy during working hours.

We’re looking for someone reliable and confident working independently during these times.
We would really value someone who brings a sense of calm, thoughtful organisation to the role, who can take initiative and ensure that everything our daughter might need during the day is well prepared and considered. We’re hoping for someone who feels comfortable taking the lead in practical matters, and who can hold things safely and steadily without needing constant direction.

Our Parenting Style
We’re both child psychotherapists. Emotional development and attuned caregiving are
particularly important to us — we’re hoping to find someone who enjoys building a warm,
responsive and hopefully enduring relationship with a little one. We try to support our daughter’s independence and confidence while remaining emotionally available and responsive to her needs.

Day-to-Day Expectations
- Engaging, age-appropriate play and reading
- Preparing and serving lunch and snacks
- Supporting her with her midday nap in a calm and responsive way
- Taking her out locally (park, playgroup etc.) where appropriate
- Light nursery duties (tidying toys, cleaning up after meals, baby laundry)
- Keeping us informed about how things are going — we value open, reflective communication

Pay and Practicalities
- £15–£20/hr gross depending on experience and qualifications
- We’re happy to arrange trial sessions
- DBS check and paediatric first aid are important to us
- Ofsted registration is a plus but not essential


We are sad to be saying goodbye to our current nanny, who is leaving to pursue the career that she trained in. Whilst we are happy for her and support her decision to do so, we ask that those who apply for this job can realistically commit to at least 9 months as we do not want too many changes in caregivers for Georgia.
