Am a recently retired headteacher who has always been passionate about helping children to enjoy learning while young and so succeed in lifelong learning.
Have been helping to care for my grandson since retiring and now he starts school I feel ready to resume my passion more widely by
My Experience
Over twenty five years class teaching experience in three London primary schools including subject leadership posts in Maths, English and Science and culminating in eleven years headship.
Have taught every age group in primary school over my career and tutored individual and small group catch up lessons in Maths and English with excellent success.
Preparation for SATs in Y6 in Maths & English as well as preparing children for 11+ common entrance exam scholarships.
Assessment of pupils strengths and challenges/barriers to learning prior to teaching has been my strength and pathway to eventual success when tutoring.
Since retiring in Jan 2021 and caring for my grandson I have remained involved in tutoring.
