About Me
Hi! I'm Sophie from Big Adventures Tiny Home childminding. I provide care for babies and toddlers age 0-3 years from my beautiful home near Wade Deacon high school.
With a background in Psychology and qualifications in Understanding Autism (Level 3) and Behaviour that Challenges (Level 2), I bring a unique, compassionate approach to childminding. Your child's emotional and developmental needs are my top priority.

My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since August 2024 and truly enjoy supporting children as they learn, grow, and develop in a warm, safe, and nurturing environment. I have a Psychology degree with a focus on child development, giving me a strong understanding of children’s emotional, social, and developmental needs. I also hold a Level 3 qualification in Understanding Autism and a Level 2 qualification in Behaviour That Challenges, which help me to support every child as an individual. I am currently working towards my Level 3 Early Years qualification to continue expanding my knowledge and skills. Before becoming a childminder, I worked as a Soft Play Area Activity Coordinator, where I loved planning fun activities, encouraging confidence and creativity, and building positive relationships with children and their families.
There isn't a day where I'm not sing and dancing, creating mess and crafting along with the kids!
I enjoy working with children because of their boundless energy and curiosity. It's incredibly rewarding to witness their growth and development, and to know that I'm playing a role in shaping their futures.
My experience within schools as a trainee Teacher and Exam Invigilator has given me the knowledge to be able to engage learners and actively encourage them to progress and achieve.

I want to be able to support working parents as much as possible. As a single mum with little family support, I understand the pressures of maintaining a good work-life balance so please contact me about my flexibility.
I provide drop offs and pick ups from Lunts Heath Primary School.

- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
