About Me
My name is Sian Willis, and I am registered as a childminder with the Care Inspectorate Wales. I live at the setting with my two children, Carter (Born in 2021) and Darcey (Born in 2022) and our family dog Bella who is a Chocolate Labrador and our two cold water fish SpongeBob and Patrick.
At Little Pandas Childcare, my mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive through fun and engaging learning experiences and activities. I am dedicated to delivering high-quality childcare services that prioritize the well-being, development, and happiness of every child in my care. Through compassion, experience and a commitment to individualized care, I aim to create a love for learning, creativity, and social interaction in each child.
At Little Pandas Childcare, I believe in the power of play-based learning, which fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills in children. Through a combination of structured activities, free play, and outdoor exploration, I will encourage the holistic development of children, focusing on their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills. Engaging with nature, the local community and exploring the world through play, I aim to enhance real-life experiences for the children in my care. Delivering opportunities to get creative through a wide range of mediums and materials, such as paint, mud, sand and music I hope children will thrive at the setting.
I aim to provide activities tailored to children’s age and stage of development to promote the 4 core aims of the Welsh curriculum, ensuring children become Ambitious, capable learners ready to learn throughout their lives. Enterprising, creative contributors, ready to play a full part in life and work. Ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world. Healthy, confident individuals, ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society. I aim to tailor activities to meet areas of learning in the early years foundation phase.
My Experience
I have 13 years’ experience working with children from birth to 16 years of age, including working with an extensive range of Additional Learning needs. I have experience of childcare in a range of settings such as nurseries, nannying, volunteering and through school-based teaching and learning environments. I also have personal experience with my own 2 young children.
Having completed extensive training in childcare and early childhood education, I am well-equipped to offer high-quality childcare services in accordance with the National Minimum Standards (NMS) and the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) regulations. I have recently completed a Level 3 City & Guilds Children’s Care, Learning and Development: Childminder units. I have also completed Level 3 in Safeguarding, Paediatric first aid and Food hygiene courses to ensure children are safe whilst in my care.
My Qualifications

My Availability
I currently have full time availability covering 48 weeks of the year, I also offer term time only, school holiday care and wrap around care,
My opening hours are 7:30am-5:30pm
My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
My fees are charged at £5ph
