About Me
Welcome to Jack In A Box! We are Early Years Providers.
My name is Lynne Hartley and I'm an Ofsted Registered Childminder on the Early Years Register, and work with my lifelong best friend Carla Hollis. Our daughters were born a month apart so their pre-school years were spent together, which inspired us to start our childminding business together.
WE ARE BIRTH TO THREE PROVIDERS ONLY.
We are pleased to announce that at our inspection in August 2023, we were graded as offering a "Good" standard of childcare.
My Experience
Carla and I have been registered and working together since July 2004. We are both Ofsted registered and members of PACEY, which ensures that we have regular inspections, updated training and relevant insurance in place at all times.
We hold certificates in First Aid and Food Hygiene, and are Epi-pen trained too. We both hold Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce, and are Designated Safeguarding Leads.
We are constantly on the look out for new courses to keep up to date with our childcare business.
My Qualifications
We hold certificates in I.C.P, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding (NSPCC Someone to Turn To), Designated Safeguarding Lead, Epipen Training, I Can Talk, Birth To Three and Early Years Foundation Stage. Additionally we have taken a Business Matters course and frequently look for other courses to keep us running the business effectively and efficiently.
We also successfully completed Level 3 Diploma's in Children and Young People's Workforce.
My Availability
Our opening hours are:
8:00 - 5:30 Monday to Thursday.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
Our fees are competitively priced with the other minders within the area, and we are all inclusive; (meals, drinks, trips out, toiletries etc), the only thing we ask you to provide are nappies for your child.

We have used Jack in a box for almost 5 years now and I knew when I found out we were expecting our second baby the only people to look after them would be Lynne and Carla, and I’m so pleased we did.
Both my boys absolutely adore Lynne and Carla. They are the most kind, caring and welcoming professionals you will ever meet! They both go above and beyond in absolutely everything and are accommodating in my needs.
Communication is clear, consistent and regular via the baby days app and which is great whilst I’m at work, I feel like I don’t ever really miss a thing.
Lynne and Carla aren’t just out childminders they are family. We are lucky to have them look after our boys and wouldn’t think of sending them elsewhere.

Lynne, Carla and Karen are amazing at what they do! I have had a child at Jack in a box for 2 years and have another little one starting there. I could not think of anyone else I would rather leave my children with.
It truly is like leaving them with a family member, they are so attentive, caring and kind. Lynne has been so accommodating over the years and continues to be.
I really feel like when you send a child here, your child isn't just another number in a book but a part of a little family.
They are so supportive of everything and cater to all of our girls needs. Childminders like this are rare to find these days and worth keeping hold of!
Would 100% recommend Jack in a box!

My daughter goes here's for me to have rest bite as am a carer for my daughter and parter,
Am totally at ease when she's over there as am happy she happy, that she's in a good clean environment with plenty of activities to do, she's brought home many things she's painted/drawn etc,
My daughter gets giddy when we r going over there which to me is a good sign in its self ?
