Nanny Wanted for Active 2-Year-Old Boy

Start date: June
Hours: Flexible part-time hours, likely Monday and Wednesday full days, with remaining weekdays from 9am to 1pm
Child: One boy, aged 2

We are looking for a reliable, warm and dedicated nanny to look after our two-year-old son, Leo, from June.

Leo is a bright, active and curious little boy who loves being busy. We are taking him out of nursery due to constant illness, so we are looking for someone who can give him a safe, engaging and structured day at home and out in the local area.

This role would suit someone with strong childcare experience, ideally with a background in early years, nursery, teaching assistance or child development. We need someone confident, responsible and proactive who can take ownership of Leo’s daily routine and help him continue learning and developing.

Hours

The hours may vary slightly, but we are currently looking for:

* Monday: full day
* Wednesday: full day
* Other weekdays: around 9am to 1pm

We can discuss the exact schedule with the right person.

Main responsibilities

* Plan age-appropriate activities for Leo
* Support his speech, vocabulary and early learning
* Take him to local classes, parks, playgroups and activities
* Prepare simple, healthy lunches and snacks
* Keep him engaged throughout the day
* Support his routine, including meals, rest and play
* Create a calm, fun and stimulating environment
* Keep his play areas and mealtime space tidy
* Communicate clearly with us about his day, progress and needs

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

* Reliable and punctual
* Kind, patient and confident with toddlers
* Fun, energetic and able to keep up with an active child
* Experienced in childcare or early years education
* Responsible and safety-conscious
* Able to plan activities, not just supervise
* Comfortable preparing simple meals
* Serious about the role and committed to building trust with our family

Requirements

* Previous nanny, nursery, teaching assistant or early years experience
* Strong references
* Enhanced DBS preferred
* Paediatric first aid preferred
* Non-smoker
* Driving licence is a bonus but not essential
