Best childcare we’ve used!

After being incredibly anxious after two previously bad experiences at another childminder and a nursery, we have finally found somewhere where my child is thriving!

Jess is the most incredible childminder and couldn’t be more caring and loving towards the children in her care. She instantly made me feel at ease and my child fell in love with her and was so comfortable. Since joining Pinewood she is like a different child, she comes home happy everyday and is so excited to tell me what she’s done. She is alway asking to go back every morning and is so excited to go there.

When it’s been hot she has provided her with lots of opportunities to cool down, including plenty of shade, water and lots of water play! She even brought a new paddling pool for them to explore with my daughter LOVES!! We’ve never had any issues with her coming back burnt or overheated!

My child has several allergies and medical needs and Jess is able to meet them exceptionally well! If she ever has any concerns she’ll always ask!

I have absolutely no concerns or doubts over my child’s level of care or safety while at Pinewood. I can go to work and know she is happy, loved, safe and well cared for while she is there!

If you are looking for an exceptional high level of childcare, then look no further! Jess is incredible!

Highly recommend Jess! She's incredible!

As an anxious first time parent, I wanted to ensure I found a childcare provider i could trust. Whilst scrolling through this website, i found Jess! She was kind, caring, knowledgeable and had years of experience behind her. After our first meeting with Jess, my partner and I both agreed that's the childminder we want.

My 2 year old son has a speech and walking delay, Jess and her family have been incredibly supportive, Since starting with her last September, my son has come incredibly far with both his speech and walking! My son even took his first independent steps at her house today!

The activities she plans on a daily basis are so great and varied, I often look upon what she's doing so i can get ideas! The activities have taught him so much, his colours, his numbers and much more! She regularly posts pictures/updates on the app so I'm able to check in whenever to see how he's doing.

I am extremely happy I found Jess, she and her family have been a huge positive influence on not only my son, but me. I'd recommend Jess to anyone, especially first time parents who have the same anxiety i once did, your child would be incredibly safe here.

Poor Experience Very Disappointed and Deeply Con

I regret to say that my experience with this childminder has been extremely disappointing and concerning. From the outset, there were issues with professionalism and communication, but the final straw was a serious lapse in duty of care.

My child was returned to me severely sunburnt after being under her supervision, which is completely unacceptable. It was clear that no effort was made to ensure he was protected from the sun—no sun cream applied, no appropriate clothing or shade. This is not only neglectful, but dangerous. As a parent, trusting someone with your child’s wellbeing is not something taken lightly, and that trust has been completely broken.

In addition to this, the childminder’s attitude has been consistently rude and unprofessional when concerns were raised which lead to her shouting at myself while my child and other children were present.Rather than taking responsibility, she was dismissive and defensive, showing little regard for the seriousness of the situation.

I would strongly caution any parent considering her services. The lack of basic care, professionalism, and respect is deeply troubling, and I would not recommend her under any circumstances.

I take the safety and wellbeing of every child in my care extremely seriously. While I regret that your child experienced sunburn, I acted in accordance with the information and resources provided at the time. I have since reinforced sun safety protocols to avoid any future issues.

I do not accept the characterisation of my conduct as rude or unprofessional. I always aim to handle concerns calmly and constructively. The accusations made in this review are exaggerated and do not reflect my longstanding commitment to high standards of care.

I am proud to say that many parents are very happy with the service I provide, and their positive feedback reflects the care, attention, and professionalism I bring to my role.

Couldn't have asked for a better first experience

Both my partner and I, think Jessica is an outstanding childcare provider and are very confident in Jessica's
approach and outlook. Our daughter has been with Jessica since she was 10 months old, and she clearly loves being with Jessica and the other children.

We feel very lucky to have found Jessica as she honestly made return to work after maternity leave so much easier. I took so much comfort in knowing that our daughter is spending time in a setting where she is very happy and completely relaxed.

Jessica's service is high quality, friendly and flexible. A real home from home vibe.

Jessica plans thoughtful activities inside and outside the home. We love seeing all the pictures and updates throughout the day on the app. Playgroup on Wednesdays is a highlight.

Jessica is also respectful of our parenting style, accommodating our routines and preferences where she can.

We would highly recommend to other parents in the area.
