About Me
Hi, I’m Georgia! I’ve recently moved to Shrewsbury and I’m looking for opportunities in childcare and private tutoring. I’m warm, creative, reliable and easy-going, and love working with children, encouraging their confidence and making learning fun.
I offer private tutoring in acting/drama studies and French. I hold a First Class Honours degree in Acting and am fluent in French. I also enjoy being active, getting outdoors and coming up with creative activities for children of different ages.
I have my own car and a full clean driving licence, and I’m more than happy to help with school runs, activities, meals and the general day-to-day routine.
My Experience
I have around 18 months of regular childcare experience, caring for children aged 2–8 across two different families. This included school drop-offs and pick-ups, after-school care, preparing activities, helping with homework and keeping to the children’s usual routines.
I loved coming up with fun and creative things to do, organising days out and generally keeping the children busy and entertained. I’m also confident managing more challenging moments calmly and firmly when needed.
Prior to this, I also helped a mother with her twin babies and 5-year-old, so I have experience caring for younger children and understand how busy life can be with multiple little ones.
My Qualifications
I have hands-on childcare experience with children of different ages and can provide references from previous families. I hold a First Class Honours degree in Acting and am particularly interested in using drama, storytelling and creative play to help children build confidence and express themselves.
I’ve completed my Level 3 Paediatric First Aid training and am currently awaiting my Enhanced DBS check.
My Availability
I’m currently very flexible Monday to Friday and can offer both regular and flexible hours. I’m also happy to discuss occasional evening or weekend childcare.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £45.00 per hour
My childcare rate is £16–£20 per hour, depending on the hours and responsibilities involved.
I also offer private acting coaching and drama studies tuition for children, focusing on building confidence, creativity and self-expression through fun, creative and engaging sessions.
Coaching & tuition rates are £35 for 45 minutes or £45 for an hour. Sessions can be tailored to each child’s age, interests and individual needs.
