My Experience

During my time in London I worked as both a part-time and full-time nanny for several families, taking care of children aged 3-12.

I have previously worked as a part-time nanny for two little boys aged 3 and 5 (now 5 and 7). I took care of these boys on a part-time basis for 2 years, and still look after them when I am back home from University. My responsibilities included picking them up from school, preparing meals, engaging in play, supervising schoolwork, taking them on outings and supporting their developmental disability needs. I typically worked for 4 hours every weekday after school and for full days outside of term time. I also occasionally babysat in the evenings where I was responsible for putting the children to bed. This role required a high level of responsibility, ensuring that these children were safe and cared for at all times and also enhanced my ability to connect and communicate effectively. Being able to experience these children grow up has been incredibly rewarding and I hold a lot of love for them and their family.

I have also worked as a part-time teaching assistant and chaperone at Stagecoach Performing Arts Ringwood, where I was formally a student. This role required assisting in weekend performing arts classes for children aged 4 to 7, ensuring that they were participating in activities, supervising lunchtimes and toilet trips, and making sure everyone was having fun! This role also led to chaperoning opportunities, where I took on temporary work during theatre performances. This role meant supervising large groups of children aged 6 to 14 throughout the day in a professional theatre environment, supervising lunchtimes and toilet trips, keeping the children entertained during waiting periods and assisting with costume changes and rehearsals. Most importantly, I was responsible for ensuring that all health and safety as well as safeguarding guidelines were upheld (as well as calming any nerves before the performances of course).

My Qualifications

I am fully DBS checked, I hold a first class honours degree in Culture, Media and the Creative Industries from King's College London and have 4 years of childcare experience working for various families across London and the Salisbury area.
