My Experience

My experience as a swim teacher has been invaluable in enhancing my babysitting skills. Teaching swimming requires patience, clear communication, and the ability to keep children focused and safe in a potentially risky environment. These skills translate directly to babysitting, where safety and attentiveness are always a priority.

Swim teaching also involves building trust with children, encouraging them, and making learning fun—all of which are key in creating a positive, engaging atmosphere while babysitting. Additionally, working with kids of different ages in the pool has given me a deep understanding of how to adapt to each child's unique needs and energy levels, ensuring that they feel comfortable and supported.

In addition I have done after school pick ups and homework help before along with some later night babysitting including bedtime routine.

My Qualifications

I have my level 2 swim teaching qualification alongside multiple DBS checks which are all up to date, I also have had a basic first aiding qualification done 3 years ago. Furthermore I am also safeguarding qualified due to the nature of my job.

• Babysitting from £12.21 per hour

£15 an hour. If further than 10 miles away, travel cost may need to be discussed.
